Accessibility Statement

Lobo Construction & Electric LLC (“Lobo Roofs,” “we,” “us”) operates loboroofs.com (the “Site”). We want the Site to work for everyone who needs a roofer — including people who browse with a screen reader, navigate by keyboard only, use screen magnification or voice control, or need captions. This statement describes where the Site stands today, what we have and have not tested, and how to reach a real person if something here does not work for you.

1. Conformance Status

Our target standard is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.

The Site is partially conformantwith WCAG 2.1 Level AA. “Partially conformant” means some parts of the Site do not yet fully meet the standard, or have not yet been tested thoroughly enough for us to say either way.

We do not claim that the Site is fully conformant, certified, or compliant. No outside organization has audited or accredited it, and we have not published a VPAT or other conformance report. If that changes, we will say so on this page and date it.

2. How We Have Tested

Our accessibility testing to date is automated. We run axe-core, an open-source accessibility testing engine, against the public pages of the Site. On the pages tested, axe-core reports no violations.

That result is worth having, but we want to be plain about its limits: automated tooling catches only a portion of real accessibility problems. A scanner can tell us an image has an alt attribute; it cannot tell us the alt text actually describes the photo. It can check that a form field has a label; it cannot tell us the error message makes sense, that the reading and focus order of a page is logical, or that a custom control announces itself the way a screen reader user would expect. Those judgments need a person.

Manual testing with screen readers and other assistive technology is not yet complete. Until it is, we cannot tell you the Site has been verified end to end against WCAG 2.1 Level AA, and we are not going to claim otherwise.

3. Known Limitations

These are the gaps we are aware of today. This list is honest rather than exhaustive — because manual testing is incomplete, there are very likely barriers we have not found yet.

• Manual assistive-technology testing is pending. We have not yet completed a structured pass with screen readers, so success criteria that depend on human judgment remain unverified.
• Third-party embedded content. The interactive service-area map on our home page is provided by Mapbox, and address suggestions in our quote form come from the same service. We do not control their markup, keyboard behavior, or announcements. The same service-area information is available as plain text and links elsewhere on the Site — in the footer and on our Service Areas pages — and you can always give us an address over the phone instead of typing it into the form.
• Background video on the home page.The video behind the home page headline is decorative, silent, and carries no information that is not also written on the page. It plays automatically and does not currently pause for your operating system’s “reduce motion” setting.
• PDF documents. Quotes and invoices we generate for you as PDFs may not be fully tagged for screen readers. If you need a quote or invoice in an accessible format, ask and we will send the same information as plain-text email or read it to you over the phone.
• Focus visibility on dark sections. Our keyboard focus outline is dark red, which is easy to see on light backgrounds but low-contrast against the darkest sections of the Site, such as the footer and page headers. Improving this is on our list.
• New and changed content. We add service and city pages regularly. Content published between testing passes may not have been checked yet.

4. What We Do to Maintain Accessibility

• Automated axe-core checks against the Site’s public pages as part of our routine
• Semantic HTML structure — real headings, lists, landmarks, and labeled form fields
• A visible keyboard focus indicator on interactive elements sitewide
• Generous touch targets on links and buttons for people with limited dexterity or using a phone one-handed
• Animations and page-scroll behavior that respect your “reduce motion” setting
• Text and interface colors checked against the WCAG AA contrast ratios rather than judged by eye
• A phone number and email address on every page, so no one is ever stuck inside the website

5. Feedback and How to Get Help

If you hit a barrier on this Site, please tell us — it is the fastest way for us to find the problems automated testing misses. It helps if you can include the page address, what you were trying to do, and the browser and assistive technology you were using, but partial details are fine. Report anything at all:

We aim to respond within five business days.

And if any part of the Site keeps you from getting information or finishing something — requesting an estimate, reviewing or signing a quote, choosing a shingle color, or paying an invoice — we will give you that information and complete that transaction another way at no additional cost to you: over the phone, by email, in a different file format, or in person at your home. You do not have to explain why, and you do not have to use the website to work with us.

6. Changes to This Statement

We review this statement as we complete further testing and as the Site changes. The effective date at the top of the page reflects the most recent revision. Because our manual testing is still in progress, we expect the “Known Limitations” section above to change over time — both shrinking as we fix things and growing as we find things.
